Saroj Khatiwada receives Australian Bravery Decoration

Saroj Khatiwada of Nepal, a resident of Rockdale, NSW has received an Australian Bravery Award from the Governor General of Australia Quentin Bryce. He receives the award for bravery after putting himself at great risk when a gunman came into the IGA store he was employed at in June, 2008 and threatened to shoot another employee if he didn’t hand over money from the cash register.
