Nepalese Cultural Show in Sydney (Easter Show)

The NRN Australia culture team performed the first day Nepali culture show at Royal Easter show Sydney Showground Sydney Olympic Park on 10 April 2009 at 10.30 AM to 12.30.

Due to the success of the Nepal Festival 2009, the Royal Easter Show Event Organizer has requested to NRN Australia to stage a Nepali culture show. This is the first time the Nepali community is invited to stage the Nepali cultural show.
The Nepali Culture Show theme was “celebrating unity and harmony in Diversity”. Embracing this theme the artists performed a variety of ethnic cultural shows. This was followed by spectacular display of colourful regional traditional costumes signifying the ethnic diversity of Nepal. The cultural programme performed by the local artists as per given time scheduled.
The president (NRN Australia), Goba Katuwal stressed the importance of promoting Nepali culture and tourism in Australia.
NRN Australia believes that the Nepali Culture Show helped to promote Nepalese culture, tourism, trade amongst the Nepalese Diaspora in Australia and the wider Australian community. We also believe that it would also enhance the Nepali community profile in Australia.

Mrs. Bhoma Limbu (NRN Australia National Coordinator) was leading the artists’ team and Mr. Ramjee Bista (NRN Australia Treasurer) was leading the support team.
